Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Empowered Expeditions, LLC, which owns and operates RoofClaim HQ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use this website, located at https://roofclaimhq.com(the "Site").

Notice at collection

The estimate request on our find a roofer page is operated by a third-party roofing lead network, not by us. The details you enter go directly to that network and the contractors and partner companies it works with, and we are paid a referral fee when you submit it. Under California and several other state privacy laws, that arrangement is treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, because we receive value in exchange for it. We want that stated plainly and up front rather than buried below. If you do not want your information passed to contractors, do not submit the form — and see your privacy rights below for how to opt out of other processing.

One consequence is worth understanding, because it limits what we can do for you: we never receive or store what you type into that form. It goes from your browser to the network directly. That means we cannot look up your submission, correct it, or delete it — those requests have to go to the network and the contractors who received it. Every company that receives your details is named inside the form, above its submit button, before you submit anything.

We do not sell or share information collected from simply reading the Site (our analytics are aggregate and cookieless), and we do not sell information to data brokers, advertising exchanges, or list resellers.

Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Information you send us directly, such as an email to one of the addresses on our contact page. Note that the estimate request on the find-a-roofer page is not one of these: it is operated by a third-party lead network and its contents never reach us.
• Automatically collected information, such as pages visited, general location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and referring pages, collected through Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, policy numbers, government ID numbers, or health information, and you should not send them to us. Please don't paste sensitive documents into the estimate request either — we can't retrieve them from the network on your behalf.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to questions and corrections you email us;
• Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve our content; and
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Sharing your information with third parties

When you submit the estimate request, the information you enter — including your name, contact information, property address, and what you say about the roof — goes to a third-party roofing lead network, which passes it to contractors and to the partner companies named in the form so they can contact you directly. That transfer happens between your browser and the network. We are paid a referral fee for it, but the data does not pass through us and we keep no copy of it.

Each company that receives your information becomes an independent controller of it. Their use of it is governed by their own privacy policy, not this one. We cannot delete information in their hands on your behalf, and because we never held it, we cannot tell you what they received — you would need to contact them directly, using the names shown in the form when you submitted it.

We do not screen, vet, or endorse those contractors. See our Terms of Use for what that means for you.

We also use the following service providers to operate the Site:

• Vercel — hosting, plus aggregate analytics and performance monitoring.
• Resend — delivery of email we send in reply to messages you send us.
• impact.com — affiliate link tracking and commission attribution, if and when we activate a paid affiliate program. See Affiliate links below for the current status.

We may also disclose information if required by law, in response to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RoofClaim HQ, our users, or others.

Affiliate links

Our insurance agents page links to insurance carriers and comparison services. As of the date above, we have no active affiliate program and earn no commission from those links. They currently pass through a plain /go/[slug] redirect on our own domain, which sets no tracking cookie and shares nothing with the destination beyond a normal browser referral.

If we activate an affiliate program in the future, the redirect will begin passing you to a network tracking link (for example, impact.com), which may set a cookie or use a similar identifier to attribute a later signup back to us. When that happens, we will update this policy and the label on each affiliate card, and we will present a cookie consent notice where the law requires one. Third parties you reach through those links have their own privacy policies governing anything you submit to them directly.

Cookies and analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate Site usage and performance. These are cookieless — they do not set persistent identifiers or track you across other websites — and we run no advertising pixels or retargeting tags. We set no cookies of our own, on any page.

The find a rooferpage is the exception worth knowing about. The estimate widget there loads code from the lead network's servers and from two public code libraries (Google's and Cloudflare's), so visiting that page reveals your IP address to them the way loading any third-party resource does. The form itself runs on the network's own domain inside a frame. Anything it stores in your browser is set by them under their privacy policy, not by us, and we have no visibility into it or control over it. No other page on this Site loads any of that.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, a copy of it in a portable format, correction of inaccuracies, deletion of it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and a growing number of other states have some or all of these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone who asks, regardless of state.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights — you will get the same content, at the same price, either way.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

The most effective opt-out is simply not to submit the estimate request: it is the only thing on this Site that shares your personal information, we hold no record of it, and nothing is shared until you submit it deliberately.

If you have already submitted it, we cannot help you directly, and it would be misleading to suggest otherwise — we never received what you entered, so there is no record here for us to find, stop, or delete. The opt-out has to go to the lead network and the contractors who received it, using the company names shown in the form above its submit button. If you did not note them, email privacy@roofclaimhq.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share" and we will tell you which network the form was routed to and how to reach them, which is the one useful thing we can do here.

Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing. Because the Site sets no advertising cookies, a GPC signal has nothing to disable during ordinary browsing; it does not block the estimate request, since submitting that is a request you make deliberately. If your browser sends GPC and you submit it anyway, we treat that submission as the more specific and more recent instruction. Note that the form is operated by the lead network, so whether it acts on a GPC signal is determined by them, not by us.

How to make a request

Email privacy@roofclaimhq.com describing what you want. We respond to verifiable requests within 45 days and will tell you if we need a permitted extension. To verify your identity we will match the details in your request against what we hold — we may ask you to confirm from the email address on file, and we will not ask you for sensitive documents to prove who you are. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.

Data retention

We retain form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were submitted and for our internal recordkeeping — including keeping proof of your consent to be contacted, which we may need to retain for as long as applicable telemarketing rules require. We delete sooner on request, subject to legal obligations.

Security

Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and rate-limited to deter automated abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

This Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and we will describe any material change to how we share your information rather than making it silently.
